Description
A delicious and easy recipe for baked apples made in an air fryer, perfect for a sweet treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup rolled oats
- 3 tbsp butter (softened)
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prep the Apples – Wash and core the apples, leaving the bottoms intact so the filling stays inside.
- Make the Filling – In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, oats, butter, salt, and nuts (if using) until crumbly.
- Stuff the Apples – Spoon the filling into each apple, pressing it down gently to pack it in.
- Air Fry – Place apples in the air fryer basket, ensuring space between them. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 15–18 minutes, until tender and the filling is bubbly.
- Cool & Serve – Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy as-is or with caramel drizzle and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- For a healthier option, reduce the amount of brown sugar.
- Feel free to substitute the nuts with your favorite type or omit them entirely.
- These baked apples can be served warm or at room temperature.
