Description

A delicious Polish burger featuring Kotlet Mielony and crispy bacon, perfect for a hearty meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 4 slices of thick-cut bacon
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or gouda recommended)
  • 4 soft burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork. Add breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, parsley, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties with a slight indentation in the center.
  4. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
  5. In the same skillet or on the grill, add the burger patties. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and add cheese on top. Cook for another 4-5 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  6. Toast the burger buns until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce, the burger patty with melted cheese, bacon, tomato, and pickles on the bottom half of each bun, then top with the other half.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Do not overwork the meat mixture to keep the burgers tender.
  • Adjust the toppings according to personal preference.
  • Ensure the internal temperature of the burgers reaches 160°F for safety.
