ITALIAN BUTTERBALL COOKIES

Ingredients:

1 stick butter

¾ c confectioners’ sugar

1 Egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp almond extract

1 ½ c all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

1 pinch salt

¼ c confectioners’ sugar

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a baking sheet.

Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, add 3/4 cup of confectioners’ sugar and butter. Beat until well mixed.

Step 4: Add the vanilla extract, almond extract, and egg. Beat until well mixed.

Step 5: In another mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, and baking powder. Whisk until just mixed, then transfer it into the butter mixture. Stir until well blended.

Step 6: Make 1-inch balls out of the mixture.

Step 7: Place the ball onto the prepared baking sheet and arrange them. Make sure to leave a 2-inch space between each ball.

Step 8: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes or until done.

Step 9: Remove from oven and let it sit on a wire rack to cool for about 10 minutes at room temperature.

Step 10: Place 1/4 cup of confectioners’ sugar on a clean plate and coat each cookie with it.

Step 11: Serve and enjoy!
