HOMEMADE CHICKEN PHILLY SANDWICHES

I love sandwiches, and I like making them myself. Apart from the Italian Beef Sandwich, this homemade Chicken Philly captured my heart in one bite. Made with perfectly seasoned diced chicken tenders with melted provolone cheese in a soft sub roll. Add your fave toppings such as lettuce and tomatoes, and serve this with chips and fries. Enjoy!

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons canola oil

1 lb fresh chicken tenders, diced into chunks

2-½ teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning

1 ½ teaspoon cajun seasoning

½ tablespoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

½ onion, diced

2-3 slices provolone cheese

2 soft sub rolls

4 tablespoons mayonnaise

HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE CHICKEN PHILLY SANDWICHES

Step 1: In a pan, heat 2 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp oil over medium-high heat.

Step 2: In the meantime, evenly season all the diced pieces of chicken with lemon pepper, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Step 3: Add the chicken and onions to the pan once the butter has melted. Stir and break up any large pieces of chicken while they cook. Cooking time takes around 8 minutes over medium heat.

Step 4: Season according to taste.

Step 5: Decrease the heat, then put the cheese slices on top of the chicken. Cover and allow the cheese to melt.

Step 6: Slather with lots of mayo on each side of the soft sub rolls.

Step 7: Onto the bun, put the chicken, onion, and cheese mixture. Serve and enjoy!

Notes:

Enjoy these Chicken Philly Sandwiches with fries and chips.
