Sweet and tangy with loads of juicy blueberries and swirls of decadent cream cheese on top. Heavenly and perfect not only in Spring but all year round!


1/4 c canola oil

1 c sugar 200g

2 large Eggs

1 c plain 0% Greek yoghurt

1 tsp vanilla

juice of 1 lemon

1 1/2 c all-purpose flour (188 grams)

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

zest of 2 lemons or 3

1 c fresh or frozen blueberries

Cream Cheese Layer:

4 ounces cream cheese 1/2 package

1/4 c sugar (50 grams)

1 Egg white


1/2 c powdered icing sugar

1-2 tbsp lemon juice

How to make Cream Cheese Filled Blueberry Lemon Bread

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Grease lightly with a non-stick pan an 8 × 4-inches or 9 × 5-inches glass or silicone loaf pan.

Step 3: Whisk the oil and sugars in a large bowl. Stir in the eggs, yoghurt, vanilla, and juice until smooth.

Step 4: Add the flour to the bowl, then the baking powder and lemon zest. Beat until just incorporated. Add and fold in the blueberries.

Step 5: Place the cream cheese, sugar, and egg white in a medium bowl. Beat using an electric mixer until smooth.

Step 6: Into the prepared loaf pan, transfer 2/3 bread batter and spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on top. Smooth the rest of the 1/3 bread batter to the top.

Step 7: Place inside the preheated oven. Bake for about 60 to 70 minutes. After 30 minutes of cooking time, loosely cover the dish with foil and continue to bake until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Step 8: Remove from the oven and allow the bread to cool at room temperature.

Step 9: Slice and serve. Place any leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 to 5 days.


1. Slowly whisk the lemon juice into the powdered icing sugar until you reached your desired consistency. Adjust how much lemon juice you add according to your preference.

2. Once set, drizzle the glaze over the loaf before serving.
