My mom is obsessed with Olive Garden’s menu! She always tries to recreate their dishes, and she’s proud that they turned out just like the original. One of her most proud copycat recipes of Olive Garden is this Spaghetti Meat Sauce. It’s super-rich, thick with meaty perfection!
My beautiful mom is an amazing cook. She’s not a pro, but she looks like one. Her homemade meals are to die for! Growing up, I always love spaghetti. My mom never fails to make the best spaghetti. I also love her meatballs spaghetti, but when I tasted her copycat Olive Garden Spaghetti Meat Sauce, my mind was blown! I thought at first that it came right from our favourite restaurant. But I can tell that it’s better. I am not even surprised to know that it’s my mom’s cooking!
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound Italian sausage
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 onion finely diced
1 celery stalk finely diced
1 carrot finely diced
28 ounces crushed tomatoes
1 c. red wine
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried sage
How to make Copycat Olive Garden Spaghetti Meat Sauce
Step 1: In a Dutch oven, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the celery, carrot, onion, and garlic to the pot and cook for approximately 5 minutes.
Step 2: Then, add the ground beef and sausage and continue to cook for additional 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring often.
Step 3: Pour in the wine and scrape the bottom of the pot. Continue to simmer until the wine has reduced.
Step 4: To the pot, add the tomatoes along with the salt, rosemary, and sage. Stir until blended.
Step 5: Remove from the heat when done and serve the spaghetti meat sauce over spaghetti. Enjoy!
