1 stick butter or 8 tablespoons or 1/2 c. melted
1/3 c. sour cream
1/2 c. white granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 medium-sized bananas mashed
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts), Optional
1/2 c. brown sugar
Drizzle Topping (Baked Bread):
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 c. powdered sugar
3 tbsp milk more or less
How to make Best Banana Bread Ever
Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
Step 2: Whisk the melted butter with sugar, sour cream, eggs, bananas, and vanilla extract until blended. Add this to the flour mixture and combine using a spoon.
Step 3: Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Step 4: To make the swirl for the batter, mix the ground cinnamon, brown sugar, and chopped nuts. Over the batter, spread the mixture and swirl it into the batter using a knife.
Step 5: Place in the preheated 350 degrees oven and bake the bread for about 65 to 70 minutes. Take the loaf pan from the oven when done.
Step 6: To make the drizzle topping, mix the vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and milk until well combined. Over the cooled banana bread, drizzle the topping.
